Rise & Reframe Physical Therapy
Dr. BettyLou DeYoung PT, DPT
Owner and Founder
As a competitive dancer from a young age, BettyLou DeYoung’s journey into fitness began with a passion for movement. However, the physical demands of dance often led her to physical therapy sessions, sparking a profound interest in health and wellness. BettyLou’s dedication to understanding the intricate connection between the body’s movement and overall well-being propelled her to pursue higher education in the field.
BettyLou earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2018, setting the foundation for her holistic approach to health. She furthered her education by obtaining a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021, solidifying her commitment to transforming lives through personalized care and empowerment.
Throughout her academic journey, BettyLou observed a gap in traditional physical therapy practices—many focused solely on basic rehabilitation rather than fostering maintainable vibrant, active lifestyles. Determined to make a difference, she forged her path, bridging the gap between physical therapy and fitness. BettyLou’s unique approach integrates her expertise in neurological rehabilitation with her passion for optimizing human performance.
BettyLou’s practice is not limited to the confines of a clinic; it extends into creating a nurturing environment where patients can heal emotionally and mentally alongside their physical recovery while becoming confident in the gym environment. She specializes in working with challenging cases often underserved by traditional therapy settings, including individuals with chronic pain, acute injuries, neurological conditions like MS, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
Her mission is clear: to alleviate pain, optimize function, and instill confidence in her patients, ensuring they embrace lifelong health and wellness. BettyLou’s dedication to holistic care is evident in her extensive credentials, including certifications as a Certified Dance Physical Therapist, NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Blood Flow Restriction, Certified Practitioner, and Functional Range Conditioning Specialist.
Bettylou’s story is one of transformation and empowerment. From her early aspirations of becoming a pediatrician to her journey as a dancer and kinesiologist, she has evolved into a trailblazing physical therapist dedicated to making a lasting impact on her patients’ lives.
